Typography

We spent time working with the University’s Typography Faculty using the Light Revolution LR4 system to photograph a variety of printing blocks, the researchers were interested in looking at how the blocks had been carved and the tools used

The wooden printing block was photographed with a single Dedo DLED4 head which in between shots was gradually lowered down the pylon on the rotating arm, each time the light was lowered the focused ring of intense light created by the system revealed more detail in the carving
