Reading University Test
Ancient Bird Bones
We spent a day working with the imaging team at the university’s Archeology Faculty using the Light Revolution LR4 system to shoot 11,000 year old bird bones. The archeologists were especially interested in looking at the cut marks on the bones
Each bone was photographed with two Dedo DLED4 heads mounted at different heights on the rotating arms, the lights completed a 360 degree revolution of the subject generating a perfect circle of light. As you will see in the three examples below the light at a lower angle created a more dramatic image which revealed the cut marks more clearly
